Moon Sand Recipe With Vegetable Oil

If you’re in a hurry and just want to do a quick activity with your child, then do this moon sand recipe with vegetable oil.

It’s quick to make, there’s no cooking involved and you’re bound to have all the needed ingredients in your kitchen.

There are two different recipes here.

As you can see from the title, the magic ingredient is vegetable oil. However, one of the recipes uses only flour while the other recipe uses corn starch and corn meal.

As always, glitter is optional – They just make life a little bit more fun, don’t you think?

Observations:

Moon Dough recipe using only 2 ingredients

Of these two recipes, I like recipe 1 more. Not only does it require ingredients that are readily available, but it also retains its properties in storage.

The second one works well right after mixing the ingredients. However, it doesn’t store very well. It becomes sweaty(!) and is no longer very easy to play with after a couple of months.
